Ever wanted to learn how to design and create your own pouches, purses and totes? This class will show you just how to do it. Make your own and then make some for Holiday gift-giving! We’ll be making a zippered cosmetic bag, reversible shopper tote (couldn’t be more timely!) and a mini cross-body bag.

Skills you will learn: The skills you will learn in this class are how to construct the bag exterior and lining. How to work with different materials including interfacings and varied weights of fabric. How to add pockets and different techniques for closures (zippers, snaps, buttons and velcro) Making and adding straps and d-rings.

Skills Expected: This sewing class is designed for the beginner student who has some basic sewing experience. You know how to thread and use a sewing machine. You’ve sewn within the last 2 years. The course is 7.5 hours in total, divided up between 3 weekly sessions. All materials and supplies included.

Fee: $160 + $20 materials.

Ages 16 and up are welcome to take this class.
