Lightweight and fluid, the Kimono Wrap has evolved from being a traditional Japanese garment to finding mainstream appeal among today’s buzziest celebrities. Translated, the Japanese word “kimono” means “something to wear.” And thanks to its easy, versatile robe-like silhouette, the kimono is indeed “something to wear,” and with almost everything. A perfect wrap for an evening out or for your resort vacation.

Skills you will learn: The skills you will learn in this class are how to sew a lightweight fluid fabric and small rolled edge hem.

Skills Expected: This sewing class is designed for the student who has some basic garment sewing experience. You know how to thread and use a sewing machine. You’ve sewn within the last 2 years. The course is 7.5 hours in total, divided up between 3 weekly sessions. 

Materials needed: Fabric to purchase – please specify # of fabric print.

Materials provided: Sewing machine, coordinating thread, fabric shears, pins, marking tools, measuring tape, an iron and ironing board.

Fee: $150 + $20 materials

Minimum and max number of people for class: Min 3 / Max 6

Ages 16 and up are welcome to take this class.
